A tercentenary celebration of the Concert Spirituel, France's first commercial public subscription concert series held in Paris during religious holidays when staged works were forbidden. It immediately became a prestigious avenue for composers and virtuoso performers, as well as an important cornerstone in the development of both sacred and secular French baroque music.
